Job Summary
Implement individualized service plans and provide behavioral interventions in home and community settings for children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Manage youth with behavioral challenges by developing safety standards and instructing them on positive behavioral practices. Monitor and document observations to modify daily activities, while creating engaging recreational activities that support emotional and social growth. Travel to client homes to ensure a clean, secure environment for therapeutic goals. Requires a college degree or high school diploma with three years of supervised experience in positive behavior support. Part-time schedule available in Morris County, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- college degree with one year of experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- minimum of three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans
- teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines
