Individual Support Technician (IST III)

Job Summary
IST III role providing direct hands-on support to youth ages 5–21 with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities in home and community settings, using Positive Behavior Support to build daily living and social skills. Responsibilities include implementing PBS strategies and skill acquisition plans, supporting ADLs/IADLs, teaching self-care, functional skills, and appropriate social behavior, using redirection for challenging behavior, coaching parents/guardians, collecting service data and submitting notes, participating in case reviews, team meetings, trainings, and adhering to NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines and agency policies. Requires High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of supervised experience with behavior support plans; NJ ISS eligibility; valid NJ driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to work independently; background checks and pre-/post-employment drug screen; bilingual candidates encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years supervised experience implementing behavior support plans and teaching ADL/IADL skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must serve youth who meet NJ ISS eligibility criteria (CSOC/DDD eligible, NJ residents)
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently in home and community settings
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment, post-conditional job offer drug screen required
