Individual Support Technician (IST II)

Job Summary
Individual Support Technician II role focused on direct implementation of ISS interventions for youth (5–21) with I/DD in home/community settings using Positive Behavior Support. Responsibilities include providing individualized support, teaching ADLs/IADL skills, behavioral support and redirection, caregiver training and collaboration, documenting service data and visit notes, participating in case reviews and trainings, and adhering to NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines and agency policies. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 1 year of supervised behavior-support experience, U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship), NJ driver’s license and reliable transportation, ability to work independently, and passing background checks; bilingual (Spanish) candidates encouraged. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, social work, human services, or related field
- ≥ 1 year supervised experience implementing behavior support plans and teaching ADL/IADL skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must serve youth who meet NJ ISS eligibility criteria (CSOC/DDD eligible, NJ residents)
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently in home and community settings
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre‐employment, post‐conditional job offer drug screen required
