Job Summary
Provide support to the instructional program for students with special needs as an Individual Aide/Paraprofessional. Assist in supervision, care, and instruction, implement and reinforce IEP objectives, monitor student behavior using established behavior management systems, adapt classroom activities and materials under teacher direction, assist with feeding and snacks, supervise movements including lifting, and maintain safety, confidentiality, and accurate progress records. Maintain knowledge of first aid procedures and safety protocols; participate in trainings and professional development; communicate effectively with students, colleagues, health care professionals, and parents to support student progress and IEP objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and assist with students
- Experience or ability to support students with special needs
- Knowledge of safety and confidentiality requirements
- Effective communication with staff and families
