Job Summary
Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for global logistics services, including ocean freight, air freight, 3PL, and warehousing, while leading complex commercial negotiations and supplier governance. Optimize supplier performance and manage business risk by monitoring market trends, fuel indices, and geopolitical developments to ensure supply chain resilience. Build strategic partnerships with executive-level logistics providers through quarterly reviews and continuous improvement plans, collaborating with Finance, Legal, and Operations leadership to drive value and innovation. Deliver measurable results by benchmarking against industry best practices and utilizing spend analytics to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain, or logistics
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with logistics, transportation, or supply chain service providers
- Strong understanding of transportation and logistics categories, including ocean, air, parcel, 3PL, warehousing, and over-the-road transportation
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and drive multiple strategic initiatives with minimal direction
- Proven ability to prioritize competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, global environment
- Willingness to travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing global transportation or logistics categories within a multinational manufacturing or consumer products organization
- Experience with strategic supplier relationship management and executive supplier governance
- Experience using spend analytics, market intelligence, and total cost of ownership analysis to develop sourcing strategies
- Experience with SAP and/or SAP Ariba
- Experience working in consumer electronics or technology industries
