Job Summary
Lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution for major capital expenditure projects including manufacturing equipment, automation systems, robotics, facility expansions, and infrastructure improvements. Manage procurement activities for utilities, material handling systems, and technology initiatives while collaborating with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Finance to develop sourcing strategies. Evaluate total cost of ownership, lifecycle costs, and risk associated with investments, then lead competitive bid processes including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations. Negotiate commercial terms, payment schedules, warranties, and long-term support contracts, then monitor supplier performance, project milestones, and delivery timelines. Identify and implement cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities for capital projects while supporting annual capital planning and budgeting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, project purchasing, or capital project procurement experience
- Experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements and supplier contracts
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and supplier relationships
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Capital equipment procurement experience
- Construction, facilities, or industrial infrastructure sourcing experience
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, CPPB, PMP, or equivalent
