Indiana Transportation Leader

Job Summary
Provide leadership for the successful delivery of transportation projects of varying size and complexity, including roadway, bridge, water, and railway initiatives. Recruit, train, develop, and retain local staff while supervising engineers and technicians to meet deadlines, scope, and budget requirements. Negotiate budgets to ensure financial performance objectives and build client relationships with the Indiana Department of Transportation, City of Indianapolis, and rail clients to win new work. Work with team members from other offices to build diverse project teams and collaborate with practice leadership to develop the Indiana presence. Represent EXP through professional association membership and industry events. This role requires a licensed PE in Indiana and 15+ years of experience, reporting to the Transportation Practice Leader.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressively responsible relevant experience
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Licensed PE in the State of Indiana
- Proven record of client relationship development and maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians
- Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to recruit, grow and mentor staff
- Demonstrated history of industry participation and network
