Job Summary
Inpatient locum tenens thoracic surgeon needed in Whitestown, IN. Responsibilities include performing CABG, valve repair, lung resection, and TAVR with an expected 10–15 patients per shift and ~10 admissions per shift. Assignment requires 1:3 call ratio with a 20-minute response time, ongoing coverage, paid malpractice insurance, and pre-paid travel and housing expenses. Access to Weatherby Healthcare consultants and time entry via online portal; Charter member of NALTO. Competitive compensation on assignment.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in Thoracic Surgery
- Board-certified or eligible in Thoracic Surgery
- Locum tenens eligibility
- Inpatient surgical experience with CABG, valve repair, lung resection, and TAVR preferred
