Job Summary
The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Development and Facilitation Specialist will design, develop, and deliver curriculum and training resources for caregivers and social services professionals in the state of Washington. This role includes developing training materials, facilitating both in-person and web-based sessions, and building relationships with Tribes, DCYF agency, and community partners. Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work, at least 3 years of experience in relevant fields, and a comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work
- At least 3 years of related work experience in training, curriculum development, social services or Tribal relations
- Knowledge of the principles and theory of adult learning
- Knowledge of training presentation and facilitation methodologies
- Knowledge of regional social, economic and environmental issues affecting training
- Experience working with Tribes, Indigenous communities, and Indian families
- Demonstrable understanding of the Indian Child Welfare Act and related practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience facilitating diverse learning groups
- Expertise in building relationships with clients, staff and community partners
- Ability to utilize research in curriculum development and facilitation
