Job Summary
Direct Custody Operations Associate at JP Morgan overseeing end-to-end onboarding of Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) in India, managing the Designated Depository Participant (DDP) function, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving process efficiencies through innovation and robotics, and building strong relationships with internal teams (KYC Utility, Business, Compliance, Legal) and external regulators/auditors while conducting risk and control assessments and staying aligned with evolving Indian capital market regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years of work experience in the financial services industry with at least 5 years of experience in Custody Operations or Designated Depository Participant (DDP) related role
- Knowledge of Indian capital market and FPI regulations
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in regulatory and corporate compliance activities
- Knowledge of corporate and investment bank products
