Index Sales Specialist

Job Summary
Own total relationship management across an existing portfolio of international sell-side clients, including broker-dealers, market makers, and securities firms. Lead high-level account planning, prospect, and network to identify new offshore Chinese broker-dealers establishing a presence in Hong Kong. Close sales for MSCI index subscription data, research reporting licenses, and MSCI-linked financial products while achieving targeted revenue goals. Partner with global Client Service, Legal, Contracts, Billing, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations teams to manage client requests and ensure compliance. Proactively solicit and provide client feedback to Marketing, Sales, Research, and Product Development groups. Maintain accurate records of account visits, conversations, and finalized contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Mandarin fluency
- Strong English communication skills
- At least five years of experience in financial services sales
- A Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience dealing with international sell-side institutions — Broker-Dealers, Market Makers, and securities firms — and the investment management process and global equity markets
- Experience covering or developing offshore Chinese financial services clients based in Hong Kong
- Ability to operate in both modes: managing and growing an existing relationship, and hunting new-logo business
- Comfort navigating the compliance and cross-border considerations relevant to offshore Chinese entities operating out of Hong Kong
- Enjoys intellectual and analytical challenges
- Track record combining account management with new business / hunting success
- Prior experience selling index, data, analytics, or structured products
- An advanced degree or CFA
