Job Summary
Chair Looked After Child (LAC) reviews to ensure care plans meet statutory requirements and promote positive outcomes; monitor and track progress against care plans, escalating concerns where necessary; ensure the voice of the child is central to all decision-making; collaborate with social workers, managers, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children; provide professional challenge and oversight to ensure compliance with legislation and guidance; maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports following reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience in children’s services, ideally in an IRO role
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
