Job Summary
Intake and assessment; Individual and group counseling; Concrete services, entitlements and advocacy; Escort clients to various appointments; Documentation, record keeping and progress notes; Psychosocial, treatment planning and aftercare follow-up; Attend staff meetings and trainings; Housing placement; Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) in Queens, NY, focused on supporting New Yorkers experiencing homelessness with integrated behavioral health and housing services, including bilingual (Spanish-English) engagement, CASAC-preferred credentialing, CPR readiness, and MS Office proficiency. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- BA preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred
- Experience working with homeless mentally ill
- Outreach, entitlement, substance abuse experience helpful
- CASAC preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel
- CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR
