Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one support for an individual with a mild intellectual disability in home and community settings, focusing on personal hygiene, daily living skills, and safe community navigation. Provide hands-on assistance with showering and personal needs while encouraging independence and establishing consistent routines. Monitor progress to adjust care plans and offer orientation support for environments where unique challenges arise. Ensure safety protocols are followed during exercise and community integration activities. Requires current CPR, First Aid, and TB clearance, plus valid identification and live scan fingerprint clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Cerebral Palsy
- Patient, dependable, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to provide hands-on assistance as needed
- Two forms of valid identification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance
- Current TB test clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
