Job Summary
Provide one-on-one support for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and cerebral palsy to increase independence in daily living skills. Conduct daily personal hygiene routines, assist with meal preparation, and guide community navigation while ensuring safety and accessibility. Encourage consistent daily routines and self-advocacy, adapting communication styles to match individual preferences. Maintain safety protocols during mobility assistance and orientation support in home and community settings. Requires ability to work independently during early morning hours and hold current CPR, First Aid, and TB clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Two forms of valid identification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance
- Current TB test clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Experience supporting individuals with Cerebral Palsy
- Patient, dependable, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to provide hands-on assistance as needed
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, and Cerebral Palsy preferred
