Job Summary
Provide one-on-one support for an individual with short stature disorder, focusing on increasing independence in daily living skills, meal prep, and community navigation. Guide the client through safe bathroom needs and outings while encouraging consistent daily routines and personal hygiene. Offer mobility assistance and orientation support to navigate environments safely, maintaining privacy and addressing unique challenges related to accessibility and toileting. Work independently during scheduled early morning hours in home and community settings. Requires current CPR, First Aid, and fingerprint clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Two forms of valid identification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance
- Current TB test clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, and Cerebral Palsy preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
- Patient, dependable, and adaptable
- Comfortable providing hands-on support while promoting independence
- Able to work independently during scheduled early am hours
