Job Summary
Independent Living Lifestyle Sales Counselor drives sales by managing the full cycle from initial contact to move-in, articulating Otterbein’s value proposition, building a large leads database, delivering public presentations, and representing the organization at community events. The role requires a proven sales track record, ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong data analysis, and a customer-service orientation to effectively engage with prospective residents and their families in a retirement-living context. Leadership experience in sales and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Management (or equivalent experience) are preferred, with 5+ years of related experience. Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of successful sales experience
- Ability to develop, implement, and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to meet/exceed objectives
- Must be detail oriented with strong time management and adaptability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (listening, writing, speaking)
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to communicate with older persons who may be ill, disabled or emotional
- Experience with contact management software such as REPS
- Commitment to confidentiality

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management preferred, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of sales/sales management experience in retirement community or related fields
