Job Summary
Conduct daily housekeeping, laundry, and personal care services for residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and dignified home-like environment. Assist with dining room setup, kitchen duties, and floor care, adhering to infection control and WHMIS protocols. Provide shift reports, update resident records, and notify supervisors of condition changes or absences. Maintain confidentiality and ensure equipment is conducive to safety for residents, staff, and visitors. Work flexible day, evening, and night shifts at St. Michael's Health Group's Millennium Pavilion Seniors' Lodge in Edmonton, Vegreville, or Spruce Grove.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a recognized Health Care Aide program
- Active registration in the College of LPN's and HCA's of Alberta (CLHA)
- Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
- Must be willing to work closely with seniors, and/or physically/mentally challenged individuals and within the value system of St. Michael's Health Group
- A current and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained on more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date
- A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date
- Completion of all Hepatitis B vaccines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping, meal service is an asset
- Prior caregiver experience would be an asset
- A friendly disposition and good interpersonal and communication skills are preferred
