Job Summary
Own full cycle recruiting selection and document verification for independent contract CDL and non-CDL drivers. Create a pipeline of 1099 candidates through resume review, local career fairs, networking, and recruitment advertising. Screen resumes, conduct phone screens, and ensure candidates complete full applications. Communicate with hiring managers and operations leaders, manage interview scheduling, and maintain tracking systems for staffing reporting. Perform recruitment advertising, communicate contract terms, and partner with external agencies while staying current on contractor legislation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Experience in regional recruiting for 1099 self-employed contractors
- Experience in sourcing and networking to identify candidates
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regulating use of independent contractors
- Knowledge of behavioral interviewing
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
