Job Summary
Independent Contractor – Response Division for Hagerty Consulting, on-call deployments to support emergency management missions. Deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notice and remain on-site for at least 30 days during activations to help achieve client incident objectives. Responsibilities include providing consultative guidance to translate complex emergency management regulations into actionable operational strategies, developing incident deliverables such as SITREPs and operational work plans, coordinating with external partners and leadership, creating incident action plans (IAPs), and ensuring smooth operations within the EOC/JFO. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent experience), NIMS ICS All-Hazards training, proficiency with MS Office, and ability to work 12-hour shifts. Compensation ranges from $30 to $70 per hour, with on-call deployment considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- at least three (3) years of professional experience, or total of at least six (6) years in a relevant field may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on the client’s operational tempo
