Job Summary
Independent Contractor – Response Division sought to support on-call emergency management engagements. Responsible for providing consultative guidance to clients, translating complex emergency management regulations into actionable operational strategies, developing incident deliverables such as SITREPs and operational work plans, acting as a liaison between external partners and leadership, facilitating meetings, creating incident action plans, and assisting with management of objectives within EOC/JFO environments. Requires deployment readiness within 24–72 hours of notice, on-site for at least 30 days per activation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; has a bachelor’s degree or higher with 3+ years of related experience (or 6+ years substituted for degree) and NIMS/ICS All-Hazards training. Compensation offered as hourly contracts in the $30–$70 range, with typical long-duration field deployments and equal opportunity employment terms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- at least three (3) years of professional experience, or total of at least six (6) years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint)
- ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on the client’s operational tempo
