Job Summary

Verify observable property characteristics, improvements, construction status, condition, functional design, and dimensions by visiting designated parcels. Measure structures, prepare or update sketches, and take photographs according to required standards. Enter verified information into County systems and review completed work for accuracy, correcting deficiencies when requested. Interact professionally with property owners or occupants when contact is necessary. Plan and execute the sequence, route, and schedule to complete assignments by established deadlines. Submit itemized invoices for completed deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to contract and work in the United States
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation suitable for travel throughout Tooele County
  • Be able to accurately measure structures, read maps and property records, perform basic mathematical calculations, take usable photographs, prepare sketches, and enter information using computer systems
  • Be able to communicate professionally with the public and County personnel
  • Be able to work independently and complete assignments by established deadlines
  • Have education or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the requested services
  • A County background check will be required

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred experience includes property data collection, appraisal support, construction measurement, inspection, GIS, or comparable work
