Job Summary
Lead Engineer – General Civil is responsible for leading and delivering all general civil engineering works for Power plant/ Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Industry, covering site development, earthworks, roads, paving, drainage systems, fencing, manhole and other associated facilities. Develop corporate technical standards/procedures, workflow, and engineering platform; mentor engineers; conduct technical validation and QA in Feasibility/Conceptual Study/Pre-FEED/FEED and EPCI engineering; provide support to engineering teams across regions; travel may be frequent to the US, Europe, and Asia; interact with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams; manage design teams for 3D modelling and 2D AutoCAD drawings; ensure compliance with design codes, standards, and client specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or Equivalent engineering
- Minimum 15 years’ total experience with 10 years’ experience in General Civil works at Power Plant/ Petrochemical/ Oil & Gas Industry EPC/ EPCI contractor
- Capable of understanding and performing general civil engineering design, including site development, earthworks, roads, paving, drainage systems, fencing and manhole, etc.
- Worked as Lead Engineer- General Civil preferably in two Power Plant / Petrochemical/ Refinery projects.
- Well Versed with General Civil Engineering Tools such as Staad Pro, MAT3D etc.
- Extensive knowledge of General Civil engineering practices, principles, industry codes and standards (ACI, AASHTO, etc.) - as well as an understanding of scientific methods of problem-solving.
- Understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communicator, fluent in English, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams & offices, clients, vendors, and global stakeholders.
- Proficient in planning, scheduling, resource management, and supervision of engineering and design tasks, with strong execution, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proactive in adopting modern industry practices and advanced software tools, with cost awareness, schedule sensitivity, identify design risks and propose value engineering solutions, suited to fast‐paced project environments.
