Job Summary
Lead Designer - Civil/Structure responsible for design and drafting of civil/steel structures for Power plant/Petrochemical/Oil & Gas projects, covering process units, pipe racks, plant buildings, utility structures, equipment and machine foundations, tank foundations, pile foundations, trenches and related facilities. Requires RCC/steel detailing expertise, 3D modelling (AVEVA/E3D/S3D/PDMS) and 2D AutoCAD, with ability to develop the civil/structure design database, participate in 30/60/90% model reviews, review vendor documents, ensure As-Built drawings, and mentor junior designers. Role involves coordination with engineering teams across Korea and other locations, and may require travel to the US, Europe, and Asia. Fluent English and strong leadership, scheduling, and cost-conscious execution are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum ITI/ Draftsmanship/ Diploma in engineering (preferably Civil) or Equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years’ total experience with 10 years’ experience at Power plant/Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Industry EPC/ EPCI contractor.
- Worked as Lead Designer - Civil/ Structure preferably in 1 Power plant/ Petrochemical/ Oil & Gas Industry project.
- Familiarity with modular construction concepts and heavy equipment foundations.
- Well Versed with Design Tools such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D/ S3D/ PDMS.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communicator, fluent in English, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams & Offices, clients & vendors.
