Job Summary
Operate equipment for formed industrial cells, ensuring parts meet specification and quality characteristics. Identify and report product, process, and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel while supporting corrective and preventative actions. Measure cable layout and length, install cables with proper lead heads, and use a hand torch to bond intercells and cell buttons. Maintain proper housekeeping, follow plant safety guidelines, and wear required personal protective equipment including goggles or face shields. Perform duties while standing or walking for 8-10 hours, lifting up to 75 pounds frequently. Report directly to the Production Supervisor within the Crown Battery Manufacturing team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience with safety and environmental training
- Ability to use some hand tools
- Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently
- Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear
- Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time
