Income Tax Senior Manager

Job Summary

Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of all U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments. Lead quarterly and annual income tax provision processes in accordance with ASC 740, including calculations for current and deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions. Serve as the primary point of contact for federal, state, local, and international tax audits, managing relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and service providers. Provide strategic tax planning support for business initiatives, corporate transactions, and restructurings, while analyzing tax implications of operational decisions. Mentor and develop junior tax professionals to strengthen the tax function. This role serves as a key advisor to Finance, Accounting, Legal, and business leadership, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws while supporting business growth. The Income Tax Senior Manager will lead the Company's global tax function, with primary responsibility for U.S. income tax compliance, international tax matters, and indirect tax management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive tax experience, including a combination of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax laws and compliance requirements
  • Extensive experience with ASC 740 income tax accounting and tax provision processes
  • Experience managing tax audits and interactions with federal, state, local, and international tax authorities
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax compliance and reporting requirements
  • Exposure to international tax compliance, reporting, and cross-border tax matters
  • Experience managing external tax advisors, auditors, and professional service providers
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax compliance/provision software
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic business environment

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA, Master's in Taxation (MST), or equivalent professional certification
  • 10+ years of tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience
  • Experience in a multinational corporate environment
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing, international tax planning, and tax technology solutions
  • Prior people management and team leadership experience
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic business transactions
