Job Summary
Manage preparation and review of income tax returns, payments, and provisions under US GAAP and IFRS to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Analyze complex tax issues, conduct research, and prepare documentation to support audits, appeals, and legislative initiatives while developing strategic tax planning. Review transactions for tax implications, analyze accruals and reconciliations for accuracy, and prepare management reports on tax matters. This role primarily focuses on US Federal income tax issues but may include State, International, and ASC 740 financial reporting tasks. Success is measured by the accuracy of filings and effectiveness of tax planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of related work experience
- advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience
- combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
- 4-7 years experience of progressively responsible tax experience in a US Federal and multi-state environment with emphasis on income tax compliance, research and planning
- Experience in Tax Accounting

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience at a Big 4 firm (i.e., KPMG, Deloitte, PwC or EY)
- Acceptable areas of study include Accounting or related field
- Experience in tax compliance software
- Experience with Sharepoint, Alteryx and other data management systems
- SAP or Oracle
- AI Tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
- Telecommunications Industry
