Job Summary
Deliver individualized instruction and accommodations to students with diverse learning needs while managing IEPs from development through implementation. Monitor student progress through data collection and analysis, maintaining accurate service documentation and progress reports. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, evaluations, and planning to ensure consistency across learning environments. Provide small-group instruction aligned with student goals and collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive settings. Requires a Special Education endorsement and valid Washington State teaching certificate.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Completion of an approved Special Education teacher preparation program
- Working knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and collaborative instructional practices
- Passing scores on required Washington endorsement exams (e.g., WEST-E or approved equivalent)
- Candidates eligible for a conditional certificate or pre-endorsement authorization
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement (P–12) issued by OSPI, or eligibility to obtain
