Job Summary
Special Education Teacher/INCLUSION TEACHER at Paris, TX: Provide instructional services for students with disabilities, develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons to meet IEP goals. Collaborate with ARD Committee processes to develop IEPs, implement instructional or therapeutic programs, assess learning styles, and employ varied instructional techniques and technology. Work with classroom teachers to modify curricula, participate in ARD meetings, select instructional media, and supervise instructional aides/volunteers. Maintain open communication with parents and staff, ensure compliance with district/state/federal regulations for special education, and manage student behavior and safety per IEP guidelines. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements; duties include ongoing assessments, personal/medical care as defined in IEPs, extracurricular sponsorship, and staff development participation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment
- Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
