Job Summary
Develop and manage inclusion services for participants by recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff. Conduct participant intakes to assess needs, create individualized accommodation plans, and secure necessary support tools. Submit payroll and volunteer information accurately, prepare and monitor budgets within guidelines, and maintain up-to-date records of all reports and assessments. Communicate regularly with participants, guardians, and supervisors to ensure successful inclusion experiences. Develop and lead training sessions for staff on the inclusion process, ADA compliance, behavior management, and crisis management. Work Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends, reporting to a salary range of $58,656 to $82,123.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation or related field
- 4 years experience in programming
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- Valid IL Drivers License
- Knowledge of theory and philosophy of recreation
- Knowledge of principles of leisure program leadership and development
- Proficiency in computer word-processing and spreadsheet applications
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Proven communication skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Proven customer service skills
- Proven management skills
- Some nights and weekends as needed for programs and events
