Job Summary
Act as a role model for inclusion within the Special Needs Resourcing team, supporting the classroom team to implement best practices that allow all children to participate fully in their learning and development. Help build understanding and awareness to remove barriers, advocate for others, and work collaboratively to meet shared goals. Provide support and guidance to others, building on strengths and encouraging them to work toward their goals while addressing concerns with initiative and resilience. This Full-Time Permanent role is based in Hamilton and offers a pay rate of $27.79. Candidates must hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education, valid registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators, and a valid Class G driver's license with vehicle access. Fluency in a second language and experience with diverse client groups are considered assets. Benefits include company pension, dental care, extended health care, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- A diploma in Early Childhood Education from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology, or through a program on the approved list of post-secondary programs as recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Valid registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Additional training/experience/education related to working with children with special needs
- Previous experience/training relating to Certification in First Aid including infant/child CPR
- Valid Driver's license and access to vehicle
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
- Class G Licence
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in a 2nd language ie. French

- Training/ Education in Mental Health
- Training/ Education in ASD
- Additional job related training/ certifications
