Job Summary
Inclusion Aide providing support to meet the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities inside/outside the classroom, assisting with IEP implementation (self-help, behavior management, instruction programs) under general supervision of the principal and direction of certified teachers. Responsibilities include helping transfer and position students (including wheelchairs), assisting with personal care (feeding, bathroom needs, hygiene), managing student behavior (including crisis intervention and safe restraint if needed), conducting instructional activities to develop motor skills, supervising lunchroom/bus/playground, and maintaining confidentiality; participate in professional development and school activities in a nonexempt, full-time paraprofessional role. Required education includes a high school diploma or GED, Texas educational aide certificate, and either an associate's degree or two years of higher-education coursework; two years of experience with children. Must be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively and work with students with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
