Job Summary
Inclusion Aide assists Head Start classrooms by providing direct support to children with special needs, helping develop and implement lesson plans, and collaborating with staff and parents to ensure inclusive, trauma-informed care aligned with Head Start regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with feeding, toileting, mobility, behavior support, and adapting curricula to individual needs, maintaining classroom safety and cleanliness, and traveling between centers as assigned. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are desirable; CPR/First Aid certification is required, and candidates should hold a High School Diploma or GED and have experience serving children with special needs. This role operates on a 10-month contract, with responsibilities across multiple Head Start centers and adherence to licensing and program guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year serving children with special needs
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- CPR/First Aid (as listed in Licenses & Certifications)
- Must be able to travel between centers in a timely manner
- State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance
