Incident Support Unit Operative

Incident Support Unit Operative responsible for highways maintenance tasks and responding to incidents as instructed, including night duties such as pothole and patching repairs, safety fence repairs, carriageway sweeping, and winter maintenance (salt spreading). Tasks include safety/debris patrols, identifying and making safe defects, liaising with Network Control Centre, installing/removing Emergency Traffic Management and diversion routes, depot duties, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Ideal candidates possess CSCS and driving qualifications (e.g., HGV Cat C), winter maintenance certification, and on-site safety/traffic management training, with demonstrated experience in safety and quality on high-speed road networks and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
