Job Summary
The Incident/Compliance Manager oversees the reporting and documentation of incidents and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to OPWDD and Justice Center guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting IRMA entries, preparing documentation for regulatory bodies, managing incident records, and supporting compliance-related tasks. The role demands a strong understanding of state regulations, excellent communication and analytical skills, and participation in internal auditing processes. Candidates should have significant experience in not-for-profit settings related to developmental disability services and must maintain an acceptable criminal background check and Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Five (5) years of not-for-profit recordkeeping experience or comparable in OPWDD regulations and standards
- 5+ years of experience working in an organization that provides services to individuals with special needs
- 5+ years of prior work-related experience conducting investigations within OPWDD programs
- Knowledge of OPWDD’s IRMA database and interface with the NYS Justice Center
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Clear record under NY state-mandated criminal background check process
- Clear record under the Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance process
