Job Summary
Lead packing associates, line feeders, and stackers in daily operations while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient environment. Assign crew members to specific duties to maximize departmental efficiency and ensure all HACCP and food safety guidelines are followed at all times. Proactively identify problems, implement corrective actions, and correct unsafe work methods or preferred procedure violations. Collaborate with line supervisors to assign work priorities and communicate issues effectively. Requires extensive produce knowledge, demonstrated leadership ability, and physical stamina for constant standing and walking over eight hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years (extensive) produce knowledge or related industry
- General understanding of processing procedures of a high volume warehouse/ production facility
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English
- Able to manually move 25lbs. frequently and up to 50lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull
- Constant standing and walking for periods over eight hours
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
