Job Summary
Coordinate and monitor inbound logistics, including scheduling, tracking, and managing transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods. Provide high-quality customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining clear communication with clients and operational partners. Prepare, verify, and process documentation related to inbound shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and submitting customs manifests to U.S. Customs and Border Protection within the same business day. Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize workflows, resolve issues promptly, and manage email, call, and chat support queues. Maintain accurate records, monitor key performance metrics, and handle VIP reefer and live fish cargo to maintain quality and compliance. This role supports HMM America Shipping Agency's mission to deliver customized, sustainable solutions across the continental United States and West Coast ports.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- General understanding of the transportation shipping industry
- Exceptional computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Able to multitask and handle information accurately and professionally
- Excellent phone/email etiquette
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
