Job Summary
Develop the curriculum and oversee operations for the inaugural Family Medicine Residency Program starting in 2028, including supervision, teaching, and evaluation of eight residents per ACGME core competencies. Ensure compliance with MUSC-Regional Network policies while providing direct patient care as faculty, including call coverage. Lead program development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities within the MUSC community. The role begins in Camden, South Carolina, with a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Candidates must hold an ACGME-accredited residency, board certification, and unrestricted South Carolina licensure, plus three years of leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
- Graduation from an ACGME or AOA accredited Family Medicine residency program
- Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians
- Unrestricted licensure in the State of South Carolina
- Unrestricted federal and state-controlled substance registration
- Outstanding clinical skills, including significant experience caring for inpatient and outpatient newborns, children, and adults, and performing ambulatory procedures
- Outstanding educational and administrative skills, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
