Job Summary
Execute basic biomethods including dosing, bio-specimen collection, blood processing, and necropsy while maintaining animal husbandry standards such as cage-side observations, shaving, and ear tagging. Perform daily lab maintenance, ensure general sanitation, and accurately enter data into lab IT systems and databases. Comply with all laboratory SOPs and policies, provide proactive animal care support for adverse observations, and demonstrate ability to seek personnel resources for non-routine questions. Maintain appropriate documentation as required by protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) year associate science degree
- Completion of a Bachelors degree in a life science field
- Regular and dependable attendance
- Demonstrated successful record keeping skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task
- Ability to work with computer software and databases such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous cell culture and flow cytometry skills
