Job Summary
Drive in a local transportation system serving poultry plants, shuttling loads and equipment between Fort Smith and Muldrow. Communicate with dispatch for timely trailer deliveries and drop-and-hook services under move planner direction. Rotate equipment to service providers and maintain accurate records of trailer movements while complying with DOT and state requirements. Work the 2nd shift from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in a loud environment with occasional exposure to extreme weather. Requires a Class-A CDL and 12 months of verifiable experience.
Required Qualifications
- Class-A CDL Drivers License
- 12 months of verifiable experience
- No major driving violations
- Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate hours of service
- Ability to complete log book pages
- Ability to calculate and report hours worked
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
