Job Summary
Oversee all jobsite activities, safety, and construction efforts for SEI's scope of work, supervising crews of 5 to 50 members and coordinating vendors and subcontractors. Develop effective plans for crew members, mobilize tools and equipment, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of heavy machinery. Adhere to safety rules, enforce codes, and conduct routine inspections while maintaining daily logs, timecards through Procore, and production records. Facilitate professional relationships with clients, owners, engineers, and team members to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. This full-time travel position requires operating heavy equipment in all weather conditions, lifting 60 pounds, and working evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment.
- Thorough understanding of maintenance and basic repairs associated with heavy equipment.
- Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
- Superior skill operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate appropriately.
- Experience with Global Positioning System (Topcon preferably)
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet Fleet Policy requirements.
- Ability to use good judgement and be an effective decision maker.
- Experienced on all types of heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this role, as it is essential for understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and participating in team communications.
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of operating experience.
- Workplace safety practices.
- Must be able to travel with limited notice.
- Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds at time.
