Job Summary
Escalation point for infrastructure operations; responsible for handling complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions. Contributes to infrastructure design, optimization, and strategic initiatives while mentoring L1/L2 teams and ensuring adherence to best practices. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/OS/network issues based on SOPs, incident tracking in ITSM, escalating unresolved issues to L3 with documentation, routine health checks, access/password resets, ITIL/ security compliance, documentation of incidents and runbooks, managing servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization, storage, and network devices, applying standard changes and upgrades, patching and backup/restore operations, creating technical documentation and knowledge articles, mentoring engineers, participating in audits, and collaborating with architects on infrastructure design and integration. Also notes rotating shifts, including night shifts, and weekend/public holiday availability to provide 24/7 application support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Electronics (preferred) or equivalent diploma
- 5+ years of relevant infrastructure support/engineering experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, CCNA, ITIL Intermediate) are highly desirable
- Deep expertise in at least two infrastructure domains (e.g., server administration, networking, storage, cloud, security)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring, backup, and ITSM tools
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise operations
