Job Summary
Data Privacy Consultant at PwC to ensure compliance with global data protection and privacy regulations. Responsibilities include conducting privacy gap assessments and compliance reviews against GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable laws; interpreting and applying relevant data protection laws; developing and implementing privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks; performing third-party privacy assessments; creating data flow diagrams to track personal data; preparing Records of Processing Activities (RoPA); supporting DPIAs and PIAs; providing training on data privacy and compliance; designing and evaluating technical privacy safeguards (encryption, pseudonymization, access control, privacy-enhancing technologies); reviewing contracts and data processing agreements to ensure alignment with obligations; and contributing to governance and risk management efforts. Mandatory/Preferred skills include ITGC familiarity, strong privacy knowledge, and experience with privacy assessments and security controls. The role supports opportunity to work on high-impact privacy projects within PwC's global network, with a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Engineering, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
- Master’s degree in MBA, Law, Information Security or related field
- 2–6 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or information security
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, and other international privacy laws
- Strong expertise in technical privacy controls, including encryption, pseudonymization, access management, and related security mechanisms
- Experience in conducting privacy assessments, gap analyses, and audits
- Familiarity with data governance, risk management, and IT security practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent are a plus
