Job Summary
Prepare station by stocking work areas with china, glassware, linen, coffee pots, and napkins, ensuring everything is clean and polished. Check VIP lists, communicate orders to the kitchen and the next shift, set trays and tables, and call all guests before delivery. Deliver orders, retrieve trays timely, and ensure food and beverage quality by communicating with management. Prepare and deliver amenities, assist the order taker on telephone inquiries, and handle guest complaints. Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus to up-sell items and ensure overall guest satisfaction. Perform opening and closing duties per the side work checklist.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
