Job Summary
Review supplier-provided quality documentation and perform mechanical, form, fit, and function inspections on machined and sheet metal parts using hand-held measuring devices. Conduct visual inspections for cosmetic acceptance and perform over-inspections of finished goods inventory per the Inspection Plan. Complete inspection reports on company formats and enter data into the organization's ERP system. Assist other inspectors and support the Quality Management System as assigned by the Director of Quality. Work the 2nd shift (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) with flexibility for overtime. Requires two years in quality control/assurance with mechanical and visual inspection experience; First Article Inspection experience per AS9102 desired. Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR.

- Blueprint Reading
- Geometric Tolerancing
- utilization of: CMM, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, depth gauges, pin gauges, profilometer, visual comparator, etc.
- ability to establish rapport with others
- effective verbal presentation and professional presence
- ability to generate succinct e-mails and informational reports
- completion of inspection documents per company procedures
- ability to utilize Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform (i.e. EPICOR/SAP/ORACLE/GLOBAL)
- self-starter capable of working on their own who takes ownership of the process and holds themselves accountable for high quality work at a good pace
- good attendance record
- flexibility to work over-time, as required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years in a quality control/assurance function in a manufacturing facility
- demonstrable experience in mechanical and visual inspection using hand-held measuring devices
- experience with workmanship standards
- At least six-months experience in one of the following manufacturing industries: Aerospace (AS9100 including AS9102 First Article Inspection - preferred); Automotive (TS19649 including PPAP process); Medical Devices (ISO 13485)
- U.S. Persons as defined by U.S. law, i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents ('Green Card' holders), persons granted refugee status or asylum status in the United States, or temporary residents granted amnesty
- Ability to read and interpret documents (English) such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving limited variables in manufacturing process

Desired Qualifications
- First Article Inspection experience per AS9102
- ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector
- capable of obtaining a Sikorsky Designated Quality Representative (DQR) certification
