Job Summary
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals in a residential setting, including assisting with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing), lifting and transferring with proper body mechanics, maintaining a clean living environment, implementing behavior management to promote positive behaviors, upholding resident rights and confidentiality, transporting residents to appointments and activities, and documenting transportation activities in accordance with facility policies. Requires BLS certification, CPR certification, valid driver’s license with clean driving record, car insurance, 2+ years of caregiving experience, HIPAA familiarity, strong communication, ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and flexible hours. Maintain professionalism and comply with health and safety regulations while delivering high-quality patient-centered transportation services.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong understanding of patient care procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and assisting patients with mobility
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Valid and up to date car insurance
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules
- Must pass background checks and adhere to all health and safety regulations
- 2+ years experience
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Must be 18 years or older with 2+ years of experience
- Must be able to get a CPR certification
- Must have reliable transportation
