Job Summary
In-Language Content Specialist at MDRT responsible for developing and distributing original in-language content, coordinating translations, identifying regional topics for global editorial content, gathering material during meetings and events for future content, and collaborating with the Content Publishing Manager to manage in-language and translation budgets. Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in communications or journalism, minimum five years editorial experience, strong writing and editing skills, ethics in journalism, vendor collaboration experience, and willingness to learn about the financial services industry. The role is based in Park Ridge, IL, with in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, journalism or related field
- Minimum five years of progressive editorial experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
- Excellent editing skills and ability to provide constructive feedback
- Solid grounding in journalism ethics and values
- Flexibility in creativity, responsiveness to feedback, and a willingness to rework ideas or develop new ones
- Experience collaborating with vendors and managing those relationships
- Experience overseeing content creation and translation for audiences who speak other languages
- Willingness to learn about the financial services profession
- The position is required to be in our Park Ridge, IL office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
