In-House Trial Attorney, (Remote-San Antonio/Austin)

Aggressively pursue files referred to Staff Counsel by the Claims Department, creating and maintaining a documented strategy for each assigned case that includes a synopsis of intangible factors such as the judge, plaintiff attorney, and aggravating factors. Develop, organize, and maintain document files consisting of pleadings, briefs, and memorandums while preparing and submitting timely status reports to claims handlers on all significant activities at no greater than 60-day intervals. Ensure all files are properly documented and organized, providing prompt responses to telephone calls and correspondence while utilizing case management software for notes, diary, calendar, and billing in accordance with established Company operating guidelines. This role requires 3+ years of trial attorney experience, handling of insurance defense work is preferred, and the selected candidate must reside in the San Antonio or Austin, TX area to work remotely as needed.
