In-House Trial Attorney (Remote-Houston)

Aggressively pursue files referred to Staff Counsel by the Claims Department and create documented strategies for each assigned case, including synopses of intangible factors such as the judge and plaintiff attorney. Develop and maintain organized document files containing pleadings, briefs, and memorandums while preparing timely status reports to claims handlers at intervals no greater than 60 days. Ensure all files are properly documented and utilize case management software for maintaining notes, diaries, calendars, and billing in accordance with established company guidelines. Provide prompt responses to all telephone calls and correspondence. This role requires 3-5 plus years of trial attorney experience, State Bar membership, and occasional travel, with a salary range of $99,000-$164,000 for a remote position based in the Houston, TX area.
