Job Summary
Provide governance advice to senior management, the Board of Directors, and executives on best practices, decision-making processes, and risk assessment. Deliver legal services covering liability, contracts, policy development, labour and employment law, and administrative law. Review contractual matters, leases, and agreements while retaining and overseeing external counsel for litigation and mediation. Assist in fundraising efforts by reviewing term sheets and advising on capital structures. Maintain the corporate minute book, draft director resolutions, and manage share and stock option plan administration. Draft, revise, and review all company contracts including property, affiliation, and funding agreements. Participate in special initiatives and advise administrative units as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree
- eligibility to practice law in British Columbia
- member in good standing, or eligible to become a member, of the Law Society of British Columbia
